Thank you for your message. The procedure for the scorecard is that the survey is mailed to a contact person at each company. If we have the incorrect person companies will forward our message to the correct individual. We also have a number of Socially Responsible Investors (SRIs) who partner with us and make follow up calls to their contacts at the companies if we have not received a response. Our goal is to receive responses to the survey.
Below is how it went when we contacted JA Solar. (we also received an email from you today which we will provide you with the names of the people who were in correspondence with us).
JA Solar was contacted with a mailing of the survey on October 15, 2010. We sent a follow up email on November 11 and December 8th (where we included another copy of the survey).
A couple of SRIs working with us started contacting (or trying to chase JA Solar) JA Solar on November 16 and 30th. Additional attempts were made on December 2nd and December 15th.
The SRIs finally received a response from JA Solar on January 5. SVTC was asked if we would give the company a 2 week extension (the original deadline was December 10th ). We wrote them back on January 5th and agreed to give JA Solar an extension until January 20th. We never heard back.
Can we keep your contact information on file for next year’s survey?
